Product Development Engineer

Position Overview:

They are recruiting a talented Product Development Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading product development projects from concept to delivery, ensuring adherence to quality standards, optimising processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver innovative products that meet customer needs and market demands. This will include
• Job Costing: Conduct thorough cost analysis for product development projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with budgetary constraints.
• SolidWorks Design: Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed designs, models, and prototypes for new products
• and product enhancements.
• Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products, optimize resource utilization, and minimize downtime.
• Product Quality: Implement quality control processes to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards, conducting testing and inspections as necessary.
• Process Improvements: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements throughout the product development lifecycle, implementing innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to undertake additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned by management to support the overall objectives of the organization.

Qualifications:

• HND in mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design.
• Demonstrated experience in job costing, and product improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and technologies in a dynamic work environment.
• Continuous learning mindset, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
