A Construction Supplier in the Omagh area has an opportunity for an Assistant Accountant / Accountant to join their team

 Salary £35,000-£45,000 depending on levels of qualifications and experience

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the team in the Omagh area. This role will also oversee 2 other locations in England. Reporting into the MD and liaising with external Company Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and maintaining financial project reports.
• Analyse costs and develop cost-saving strategies.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable for each project, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing and payments.
• Analysing all project expenses and providing commentary.
• Looking after project contracts to ensure the financial terms are adhered to.
• Working closely with the admin team and Contracts Managers in order to develop processes and the understanding of financial requirements.
• Ensuring financial reporting across business is accurate

Experience:

• Proven experience in financial management within the project accounting field.
• Knowledge of using accounting software Xero is preferable
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Relevant qualification in finance or accounting.
