Extensive experience with most financial systems and  a working knowledge of how to scope, change and implement different off the shelf and bespoke systems.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

• Chartered Accountancy Exams from Chartered Accountants Ireland
• 2:1 in BSc Honours Degree in Accounting

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

Accountant within industry 2+years

• Review and completion of Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Accounts.
• Conducting meetings with the relevant accountants, reviewing the information and challenging certain figures to ensure accuracy
• Meetings with other departments leaders to establish accurate  forecasts
• Review and submit annual budgets.
• Involvement in  process improvement.
• Creating and editing reports using Microsoft BI

Financial Analyst 1 Year

• Required to pull together board packs and commentary for the Directors on the performance of the company on a weekly basis.
• Drive process improvement by utilising experience in audit to redesign different processes to ensure that they were up to standard.
• In charge of implementing a new procurement system in house which had to be designed to meet the needs of the business.

Group Management Accountant 2 Years

• Management of a team of 5 within accounts dept.
• Complete and review monthly and quarterly accounts submissions along with preparing and present a board pack with the results to both the owners and the Finance Director.
• Process improvement duties  including staff training on use of   ERP system.
• Standardise the format of the accounts submissions from other group companies by developing a standard financial model that would improve the efficiency of the consolidation process and  improve the accuracy of the accounts.

• Member of the External audit, internal audit and Data assurance team.
• Conduct external audits of client companies testing  the financials to ensure their accuracy and adherence to the standards.
• Testing client company  internal controls and processes to ensure that they were as efficient and secure as the company needed them to be.

• Required to go out to various different companies and perform process improvements including  redesigning the process from the beginning or adapting the process for a new purpose.
